MIssion43 and COllege of Western Idaho Offer Groundbreaking SUpport to Military-COnnected Students
Mission43 Education is constantly striving to pioneer new pathways for our military community as they transition to civilian life. We are proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the College of Western Idaho (CWI) that promises to redefine educational opportunities for our members. This collaboration introduces an accelerated route to earning an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Management, tailored specifically for military members and veterans who have reached the rank of E5 or higher.
Fast-Track to Success
The accelerated AAS takes a comprehensive approach to recognizing the invaluable skills our military members bring to the table. By leveraging the American Council on Education’s assessment of military transfer credits, CWI can incorporate leadership and training experiences directly to the program. This allows eligible members to transfer up to 45 credits, leaving only five general education classes to complete. A Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) is conducted on a one-on-one basis and the approval of the evaluation is subject to the college’s discretion.
This streamlined approach enables members to obtain their AAS in as little as one semester, setting them on a path towards increased earning potential and expediting their path to earning a Bachelor’s degree. Credits seamlessly transfer into select Bachelor’s programs at Boise State University, requiring just an additional 60 credits for completion. Eligible participants could obtain their AAS and a Bachelor’s in as little as 2 years, opening doors to even greater career opportunities.
Support Every Step of the Way
Recognizing the unique needs of our military-connected students, we’ve invested in enhancing military support services at CWI. Through this partnership, CWI will now have a dedicated Military Transcript Evaluator as well as a Veteran and Military Family Services Coordinator. These roles are instrumental in providing personalized support, guiding students through their educational journey, and ensuring they have access to the resources they need to succeed.
We also recognize that many military members may have already transferred their benefits or wish to preserve their GI Bill and other educational assistance for advanced programs and future support or opportunities. Mission43 is committed to easing the financial burden of higher education. In collaboration with CWI, we’ve created annual full scholarships for eligible Mission43 members, making their educational goals more attainable.
