This February 29th, we’re inviting M43 members and their families to hit the slopes with us at Schweitzer Ski Resort in Sandpoint. Pack your snow-gear and come on out for skiing, tubing, food, drinks, and just an all-around awesome time with your loved ones and the local Mission43 community.
Please respond by Tuesday, February 18th if you need to cancel, as we have limited space!
TIMELINE:
8:00am - 10:30am: Check-in tent open (near the clock tower and ticket window at Lakeview Lodge) to get your ski passes, rental vouchers, and M43 Basecamp access bracelets. The tent closes at 10:30am so you will have to arrive during this window.
9:00am: Lifts open!
12:00pm: Mission43 Basecamp opens in the Caribou Room (Lakeview Lodge upper level) with Taco Fiesta lunch bar and beverages!
3:00pm - 4:30pm: Private tubing and family campfire time at Hermits Hollow Yurt!
4:30pm - 6pm: Après Ski social hour

Parking
There are multiple options for getting to the resort. There is a free park-and-ride shuttle service from the base of the mountain. The main road up the mountain from Sandpoint is long and winding and can be a little sketchy at times, but if you choose to drive up, there are multiple parking lots to choose from. Premium spots in the Lakeview Lot (closest to the lodge) are available for $15/day. The lower lots are free, and Schweitzer generally runs a shuttle up to the lodge from those lots. There is also free parking available adjacent to the Musical Chairs lift which you can ride directly to the clock tower area.
8:30am-10:30am Check-In Location
The Mission43 pop-up tent will be located near the clock tower. This is where you will get a lift ticket voucher, rental voucher, and tickets for Basecamp access. We'll shut down check-in at 10:30 so our volunteers have the opportunity to enjoy the mountain too.
Ski/Snowboard Rentals
When you check-in on Saturday we will provide you a rental voucher to pick them up at the Schweitzer Mountain rental shop. If it’s crowded, there is a potential there will be limited availability, so get there earlier if you can.
Family Tubing and Fireside Time
From 3:00pm - 4:30pm you and the family will have exclusive access to Hermits Hollow Tubing Hill and Yurt. There will be a campfire and snacks on site. Remember, tubing isn’t just for the kids, so saddle-up and go nuts!
The Mission43 Basecamp
Located in the Caribou Room on the upper level of the Lakeview Lodge (next to Taps Bar), food and beverages are on us! It’s also a great chance to meet the Mission43 leadership team so you can learn more about opportunities to get involved or different programs the pillars offer that you can benefit from.
Lunch - Noon-thirty ‘til it’s gone… Taco Fiesta will be available in the Caribou Room
Drink - Wine and beer are available at our hosted bar. Get your drink tickets when you check in between 8:30am - 10:30am...another good reason to show up on time!
