Through an interactive learning platform, our employment pillar partner, Hire Heroes USA, offers virtual workshops to prepare transitioning military members, veterans, and military spouses for their job search.
For this session, Hire Heroes USA Serving Spouses Program is hosting a virtual panel to discuss how to overcome barriers to military spouse employment with powerhouses in the military spouse community including representatives from VirtForce, Military Spouse Advocacy Network, and the Association of Military Spouse Entrepreneurs! Panelists will speak about different topics including employer bias; limited networks; building seniority in a role / short job cycles; limited Job opportunities (OCONUS); affordable childcare; lack of flexible/remote roles; difficulty explaining gaps on a resume, and entrepreneurship.
