Career Advising: Boise State University

Boise State Student Veterans & Military Spouses…this one is for you! Nick Johnson (from the Mission43 Employment Team) is coming to campus. We are excited to host career advising sessions designed to provide one-on-one, in-person assistance to members seeking help with their career search. Military veterans and their spouses will receive personalized advice and guidance on a range of career-related topics including resume writing, mock interviews, and LinkedIn optimization.

  1. Create/Update your resume: It is the most important tool you need to find success in your employment search. Get this done now before you graduate!

  2. Increase your confidence with mock interviews: Learn how to prepare for both in-person and video interviews.

  3. Ensure your LinkedIn profile is optimized:  Learn how to leverage the platform for networking and job searching. 87% of recruiters use LinkedIn to vet potential candidates. 

We recommend bringing the following items with you:

  • Laptop

  • Previous resumes or job history

  • List of jobs you are interested in applying to (job descriptions if possible)
