Outdoors & Community: Making the Most of Idaho
A Conversation for Military Spouses About Wellness, Community, and the Outdoors.
Living in Idaho means having easy access to some of the most beautiful outdoor spaces in the country. This session is all about helping military spouses tap into that—whether for stress relief, personal time, or shared experiences with others.
We’ll talk about the benefits of being outside, highlight some great local spots to explore, and offer tips for safely enjoying the outdoors throughout the year. Whether you're already spending time on the trails or looking for a place to start, you’re welcome here.
This session will highlight local opportunities and offer useful tips for getting outside with confidence.
In this session, you’ll explore::
- A look at how time in nature supports mental well-being
- An overview of local parks, trails, and recreation areas
- Seasonal safety tips and ideas for getting outside year-round
- Family-friendly options for outdoor activities
- A chance to meet others who enjoy or are curious about outdoor recreation
You’ll hear from our Engagement Team—Chad Rohr and Dustin Alger—who will share their knowledge of outdoor recreation in Idaho and highlight ways to get involved in future activities. We’ll also create space to connect with others and form small, self-led groups based on shared interests—like hiking, biking, walking, or simply exploring new places together.
