ABOUT THE NORTH IDAHO 9.11 MOVING TRIBUTE
In partnership between Lewis-Clark State College, University of Idaho, and Mission43, we will honor the fallen of 9.11.2001 and their families by moving the Flag of Honor, bearing the names of everyone lost that day, on foot from Lewiston to Moscow, Idaho.
The event will begin with a brief ceremony at Hells Gate State Park at 8:46am, the time American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. From there the flags will be carried to Moscow over the course of the day. At the end of the day, a memorial BBQ will be held in Moscow to finish the day as a community.
START LOCATION: Hells Gate State Park
Your challenge: Join the Moving Tribute and help walk the flag along half-mile to mile long stretches of road between Lewiston and Moscow. Those who complete any leg of the route will earn this year's 9.11 Moving Tribute Patch.
